Fishing The Fabulous River Tay By Jock Monteith
Wednesday 8 July 2020
Here's a fine shot of the River Tay with its dark swirling mysterious waters that can lure anglers from all across the globe. The Tay is indeed Scotland's flagship salmon river and always has sufficient water due to its massive loch fed headwater catchment also making it the best bet for fresh run fish.
This fine shot of the River Tay was taken during late Spring close to the Perthshire town of Pitlochry which is a popular accommodation town for many of our River Tay salmon anglers. The Tay is indeed Scotland's big fish salmon river and regularly produces salmon of 20 lbs plus.
