Salmon Fishing On The River Tay By Jock Monteith

The River Tay is indeed Scotland's number 1 flagship salmon fishing destination for many good reasons. Other than the Tay's huge loch fed headwaters that maintain stable water conditions the Tay is also over 100 miles long and has many individual salmon fishing beats which are largely accessible throughout the fishing season.
If you're going to choose a Scottish salmon fishing destination I'd personally suggest the River Tay due to its consistent salmon runs and reliable water levels. These are 2 of many fine salmon fishing attributes the Tay benefits from.
