Here's a lovely upstream shot of a River Tay salmon pool known as 'The Trap' which is located slightly downstream of the Perthshire town of Dunkeld. Many salmon are caught in this area of the Tay each year by hundreds of annually returning salmon fishing guests.

This month has always been a firm favourite salmon fishing time of the year for me and I recall many heavyweight salmon captures that all appeared during the last 2 weeks of March. This run of pristine heavyweight salmon is still very much present in the Scottish rivers and especially in the River Tay.
